Japanese Swords

Definition

Tsuba - is the Japanese term that refers to the "protection of hands" of Japanese swords.

Tachi - the length of the blade is on average 78cm, but some come to be 2.2 m.

Katana - the length of the blade is larger than 60cm.

Wakizashi - the length of the blade is larger than 30cm and 60cm below.

Tantou - the length of the blade is less than 30cm.

Kogatana - a far smaller.

Daisho - composed of Katana and Wakizashi.
